Areas of Focus
-
Myofascial Release Therapy
Myofascial Release Therapy (MRT) is a gentle, precise therapy that focuses on releasing the connective tissue that encases every structure in the body, including the muscles, bones, nervous system and organs.
Fascia has cellular memory and can store dysfunctional patterns from past trauma. It’s also responsible for sensing how we position and move our body.
Because fascial restrictions distort our ability to sense our body, MRT can improve proprioception—leading to improved postural and movement awareness.
It involves long, slow holds usually with a firm but gentle pressure to elongate the tissue between 2 structures. Because there’s no gliding over skin, no oil is used. It feels deeply restorative and often brings a sense of lightness.

Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance.
Few structures have as much influence over the body's ability to function properly as the brain and spinal cord that make up the central nervous system. And, the central nervous system is heavily influenced by the craniosacral system - the membranes and fluid that surround, protect and nourish the brain and spinal cord.
Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams - about the weight of a nickel - practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system.
CST often brings an immediate sense of stillness, peace and restoration. It’s a great way to balance the nervous system.
CST may help with:
Migraines & Headaches
Traumatic Brain Injuries & Concussions
Emotional Difficulties & Depression
Stress and Tension-Related Problems
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Sleep Challenges

About Margaret
Margaret graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2011 and focuses on Craniosacral Therapy and Fascial Release Therapy.
Her experience of burnout as a new mom, career frustration and sudden health issues led her down a path of holistic healing. She studied the nervous system, breath, mind and energy centers and combines this knowledge with her hands-on skills as a massage therapist to deliver both a deeply therapeutic and relaxing treatment.
Margaret’s aim is to create a safe, restorative space where you can slow down, reconnect with your body and calm your mind.
She also co-facilitates group breathwork ceremonies in South Surrey that foster community, connection and self-exploration. This space is an invitation for those seeking a deeper dive into body and self awareness.
Margaret educates RMT students on the benefits of breathwork as a self-regulation tool and a way of connecting with patients to create a safe treatment environment.
