Autumn Journal Questions: A Ritual to Align with Nature

The change in seasons is a perfect time to pause and reflect. When we align our intentions with nature’s cycles, we invite ease and flow into our lives.

Autumn is my favourite season because I love simplifying and the crisp morning air. It’s a time to be grateful, slow down and turn inward.

Light a candle, grab a hot drink and journal on these powerful seasonal questions.

1) Looking back on the first half of the year, what experiences and accomplishments am I grateful for?

In Spring and Summer, we set our goals, accomplish, and put ourselves out in the world. In Autumn, we look back at the first half of the year and reflect on everything we harvested. What are you proud of? What lessons did you learn? What adventures did you go on? Who did you meet and connect with?

2) What parts of my life are out of balance?

As we slow down, it’s a great time to be honest about what areas need more attention—whether that’s our relationships, spiritual practices, health, creative outlets or more. Autumn focuses on the simple things that usually make up our daily routines and help us feel anchored and nourished. These are the roots that need to be in place before we grow in the Spring and carry us through the shorter Winter days.

3) What can I let go of to focus my energy on what’s really important the next 3 months?

You may already feel the natural pull to slow down and focus on the essentials and you have full permission. What commitments can you release now to build your foundation?
